APL Data Center continues its European expansion with a new branch in Italy
APL Data Center, the leading French consultancy and engineering firm specializing in the design and construction of data centers, announces the opening of its Milan branch. The opening is part of the company's expansion strategy to support its hyperscaler customers across Europe.
Italy represents a new strategic regional market for APL Data Center, with a key position in the digital ecosystem and strong growth in this industry. In this context, the Italian team based in Milan, which consists of 7 employees and is set to grow to 15 by the end of the year, will provide expertise and project management skills in close proximity to its European customers. The current teams are already working on large-scale projects totalling 75MW IT power, or some 150,000 physical servers.
The Italian teams have also established strategic partnerships with local players, such as IDA (Italian Data Center Association), with a view to integrating into the local economic fabric.
A new stage in APL Data Center’s international development
As part of its IMPACT 2027 strategic plan, and with the opening of new sites in Switzerland and Italy, APL Data Center is pursuing its expansion strategy to support its customers and the market in several geographical areas, and to meet the challenges of infrastructure deployment deadlines and responsiveness.
“We have won the confidence of our first customers and demonstrated our ability to reconcile on-time delivery, technical and economic performance, while respecting the environmental requirements that are essential to the acceptability of our facilities. We are resolutely committed to contributing to the growth of digital technology and, more broadly, artificial intelligence in Italian cities,” explains Julien Humblot, APL’s Managing Director in Italy.
“The opening of our Italian branch embodies our commitment to meeting the growing demand from our customers to deploy their international projects. This strategic location enables us to support our hyperscaler customers on a broader scale in Europe and Africa. It marks an important step in our drive to strengthen our proximity to them as a trusted partner,” concludes Tristan Richard, CEO of APL Data Center.
