APL Data Center strengthens its management team to support growth and implement its strategic plan to 2024
APL Data Center announces the recruitment of three new Management Committee members arriving in September and October 2022: Carole Maréchal, Director of Legal Affairs, CSR and Compliance, Romain Molliex, Human Resources Director and Alexandre Depreux, Sales Director.
APL Data Center, a company specializing in consulting, engineering, construction and operating assistance for data centers, is strengthening its management team to support the company’s strong growth (+300% since 2017), at the heart of its customers’ digital and environmental challenges. APL has over 150 employees, and is present in France, Switzerland and Africa. The group achieved sales of €47 million in 2021.
Christophe Weiss, Managing Director of APL Data Center, has recruited three industry professionals as members of the Management Committee, to support the NextGen 2024 strategic plan, with the aim of doubling APL Data Center’s size and financial results by 2024.
In order to achieve its goal of reinforcing its position as the No. 1 pure player in data center consulting and engineering, APL has determined the following priority areas for development:
- Strengthening its role with hosting providers and hyperscalers;
- Promoting a responsible digital approach with a low environmental impact;
- A strong commitment to design-construction projects, with an emphasis on the Edge Data Center;
- Developing its international presence;
- Strengthening research and innovation at the Lab by APL;
- Increasing its expertise in consulting, the lifeblood of APL;
- Developing the partnerships needed to carry out major projects.
Having strengthened its processes and organization with the implementation of an integrated management system, certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, APL presents the new members of its management team, appointed at the end of 2022:
Alexandre Depreux (46) appointed Sales Director
Alexandre Depreux holds a technical degree in electrical and industrial computer engineering (GEII) from the Cachan Technical Institute and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management and international trade. With 20 years’ experience in various management positions in the IT and financial services sectors, Alexandre Depreux enables APL to go even further in supporting its clients throughout the entire data center life cycle. His experience abroad is an asset for deploying our know-how in an increasingly international market.
As a member of the Management Committee, he is responsible for steering the sales and marketing strategy and approach, promoting the development of synergies and reinforcing the cross-departmental approach of business units in carrying out projects, on behalf of clients.

Carole Maréchal (48) appointed Director of Legal Affairs, CSR and Compliance
Carole Maréchal holds a master’s degree in private law and a master of advanced studies in literary, artistic and industrial property from ASSAS Paris, and has 20 years’ experience in particular in the hosting provider sector with GAFAM clients. She was involved in the creation of an IT services company, then joined TELEHOUSE from 2006 to 2016 as a lawyer, then legal manager and general secretary, and finally DATA4 from 2016 to 2020 as general secretary in charge of QHSEE and CSR, as well as the GDPR and legal affairs. She was also General Secretary of the Cloud Confidence association.
As a member of the Management Committee, she intends to pursue and develop the implementation of a CSR policy in line with the societal and environmental commitments underpinning APL’s Organic Design raison d’être, and in accordance with regulatory developments in the market.
“I joined APL Data Center to develop CSR, which is at the heart of the Group’s strategic raison d’être, and to work together with all the company’s departments. Attracted by one of my preferred sectors of activity, I was won over by the attentive management team and by a growth dynamic that I wanted to be a part of”, declares Carole Maréchal.
Romain Molliex (33) appointed APL Human Resources Director
Romain Molliex graduated from Sup des RH in 2013 with a master’s degree in human resources. He began his career at Thalès, before joining GTM Bâtiment (Vinci Construction France) as a member of the Management Committee, where he was in charge of the company’s HR department until 2022. His experience in the construction industry with large companies has enabled him to understand the challenges of resource and skill constraints in project management.
As a member of the Management Committee, Romain Molliex’s mission is to manage, organize and structure APL’s human resources to support harmonious and beneficial growth for employees. As such, he is involved in implementing the transformation plan to ensure the success of the NextGen 2024 plan.
