APL is awarded the Gold Medal by EcoVadis
APL has earned the EcoVadis Gold Medal for 2024 with a score of 78/100. This recognition places us among the top 5% of companies assessed by EcoVadis for their corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance.
EcoVadis’s evaluation helps clients, investors, and stakeholders assess and compare the CSR performance of their partners.
The assessment covers four key areas: environmental commitment, social responsibility and human rights, ethics, and responsible purchasing policies.
After earning the Silver Medal in 2023, great strides have been made by APL towards achieving Gold.
Our key improvements include:
- Revamping or establishing new policies for quality, environmental protection, anti-corruption, data privacy, and social responsibility;
- Joining the United Nations Global Compact;
- Enhancing reporting practices;
- Launching a program to raise employee awareness on the four CSR pillars;
- Strengthening supplier management through annual evaluations, a code of conduct, CSR clauses in contracts…
This achievement highlights APL’s efforts to build a robust CSR strategy, which is a central component of our NextGen 2022-2024 strategic plan.
